Virus + Spyware Removal
Viruses and Spyware are now the most common cause of
computer problems. Most of the time, users don't notice
that virues are present on their computer until it stops
them from getting work done. Spyware is downloaded from
the internet, often "piggy backing" on legitimate
programs like music downloading applications.
Spyware causes a problem because it sucks up your
internet connection by "reporting back" things that
you are looking at online for marketing purposes.
Once the Spyware had learned what you're interested
in (Cars, for example) you may be bombarded with
pop-up advertisements related to cars. Spyware is on almost
100% of computers that come into our shop. Most of
the time the user doesn't realize it's there - until
we get rid of it and they notice how much smoother
the computer runs - and how there is a lack of
pop-ups that used to be displayed!
When Viruses are high in
number (500+) or have infected system files and
cannot be removed without compromising system
functionality/stability, a
Reload is sometimes required to rid the system
of all the Nasties and put things back the way they
should be.
The Cost for a Virus removal ranges from $40 - $55
depending on the severity of infection. A
free diagnosis can be
performed first if you require, to pin-point the
severity (and therefore cost).
There is a 30-day warranty on the work that we perform.
The computer will not leave the shop until it is 100%
clean + secured.
If we find 500+ viruses, or viruses that are
un-removable efficiently - we might have to upgrade your
service to a
Reload. You won't
have to pay for any virus-removal that we did prior to
this point.
After removing the viruses we will install an up-to-date
anti-virus, and two anti-spyware applications to prevent
this happening again. This software is free.
